The surprise

My friend invited us to have a get together dinner last weekend. I asked him what the celebration for. He was kidding that he wanted to treat us because he just won in the lotto games. He said it was a surprise for us. And so we went last weekend on the said restaurant. I was eager to know the celebration but he insisted to order first our meal. In the tossing of the wine, he started to unveil his surprise. He had just promoted for being the employee of the year. He was rewarded for being a hard worker. And because of that he will have a good job and paid with good incentives he decided to marry his long time girl friend. And with that dinner he proposed marriage to his girl with us being the witness. We were really surprised and much more with his girlfriend. The girl accepted his proposal and we were happy for them.
